Another trick you can use is to plug a piece of vacuum hose over the bleeder screw on the caliper and run the other end into the master cylinder. Just make sure that the master cyclinder never runs dry and you can pump away to your hearts content to make certain that no bubbles remain in the line. All you have to do is pinch off the vacuum line with your finger before you release the brake lever. It makes a sort of closed circuit so that the fluid coming out of the bleeder screw goes back into the master cyclinder.
